About Lake of the Dells

Located four miles from the center of Wisconsin Dells, Lake of the Dells offers residents quick access to the amenities of the Wisconsin Dells resort area, but also complete separation from the resort experience while on the property, as they are surrounded by north woods seclusion and tranquility.

Lake of the Dells is approximately 200 miles north of Chicago's northwest and western suburbs, 115 miles from Milwaukee, and 225 miles southeast of St. Paul. It is distinguished by its location on the eastern bank of a mile-wide expanse in the Wisconsin River. The expanse gives the river the look of a lake as you pass the property and is one of the widest remnants of the prehistoric Glacier Lake Wisconsin. This expanse is at the northern entry to the Wisconsin Dells, the noted geological formations that first drew visitors to the area.
